How To Wash Your Bra? ..The Do’s & Dont’s

Want to get more life out of your bra then there is some do’s and don’ts you need to know.

1. Number 1 rule: wash in a lingerie bag! Why….. so it doesn’t hook onto the inside of your machine, break or stretch the hooks/fasteners. Also so it doesn’t grab everything else in sight in that wash…the mess I’ve had to untangle in the past ain’t pretty! (If you don’t have a linger bag- use a fine material -clean pillow slip and use an elastic band to tie it up at the end).
2. Ensure you fasten the hooks on the bra before washing. This will prevent them catching on other items in bag or if zipper comes undone.
3. For longer lasting colour in your bra ‘hand wash it’. Use cool water and a gentle soap made for delicate fabrics.
4. Air dry your bra after washing……….if you put it in the clothes dryer it will weakened the elastic ; however if you CAN’T resist ensure it stays in the lingerie bag so the hooks don’t get caught up in the other items plus also get bent & snap off.
5. Continually machine washing underwire bras can result in the wire coming out and lodging in your washing machine…..or even better your skin when wearing it. If you machine-wash these bras, make sure they’re inside a lingerie bag to extend its life of wear and tear.
6. Do not wash your bras after each and every wear. Rather wear at least two if not three times before washing.

Here’s A Joke- What Religion is Your Bra?

What Religion is Your Bra?

A man walked into the ladies department of Myer’s
and shyly walked up to the woman behind the counter and said,
‘I’d like to buy a bra for my wife. ‘
‘What type of bra?’ asked the clerk?

‘Type?’ inquires the man, ‘There’s more than one type?’
‘Look around,’ said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size, colour and material imaginable.
‘Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose from.’
Relieved, the man asked about the types.
The saleslady replied:
‘There are the Catholic, the Salvation Army, the Presbyterian, and the Baptist types.
Which one would you prefer?’

Now totally befuddled, the man asked about the differences between them.
The Saleslady responded,
‘It is all really quite simple. .

The Difference between a Push-Up Bra and a Regular Bra

With breasts comes great responsibility. Let’s be honest, they can be hindrances in the job market, and deal breakers in the bedroom. Both, the greater endowed and lesser endowed, are constantly seeking ways to perfect their shapes and minimize their flaws while looking as stunning as possible. Larger breasted women look for bras that alleviate the horrible effects of gravity, while their smaller breasted counterparts look for ways to add that extra oomph. It is not an easy task, and many arduous hours can be spent in a fitting room looking for the perfect bra. As long as we keep reasonable expectations, and understand that it is not necessarily the bra that will escalate us to Heidi Klum status, we can find the optimizing potential in a push-up bra.

Larger breasted women may have difficulty in finding a conventional bra that maximizes their support without looking like they have a straitjacket on and unfortunately the larger the breasts, the greater the effect of gravity. Although they have yet to create an anti-gravity design, a push-up bra can do wonders. The extra padding along the lower portion of the push-up cup can keep breasts from sagging. The design of the cup gives the large breasts a more rounded shape and sets them in the upper part of the chest (about where they sit in the late-teens and early twenty development). More importantly, push up bras for larger breasts can have extra comfort features, such as padded straps and comfortable backing. Having that excess baggage can be painful at times, so certainly shop for comfort as well as style
